Let’s clarify our objective before we get started. Eating healthy is a choice. We all make that choice every day whether we realize it or not. Yes that doughnut seems to be calling your name but should you really eat it first thing in the morning? The answer you so hesitantly whisper in your head is probably a resounding no.
Look, I’ve been there before with endless food options and going for the not so healthy sugary rush in the sitting in the office’s kitchenette, just calling your name. It’s hard to say no to all the bad foods because they are everywhere. But all we can do it our best.
When it comes to breakfast choices, it’s good practice to try and give our body a good start.
Food choices are one of the areas that I’ve improved tremendously over time. Like you, I’ve tried different things and this is what works best for me and my routine. Smoothies are part of my daily routine now and I love that it’s one of the healthier options.
This particular 7 ingredient smoothie could even be a meal replacement in the evenings when you’re wanting something light.
We normally have a smoothie after a workout, when we are not necessarily too hungry. You know the weird feeling when you’re finished with a workout. Your tummy feels settled but not hungry. But you know you’re hungry because it’s been a while since your last meal. To make sure our muscles get the appropriate nutrients, Cecil and I have a smoothie after our workouts.
I used to get nauseous during or after a workout. This no longer happens because I snack before hitting the gym. These easy and healthy snacks give me the energy I need to get moving or really push myself during an intense session of cardio. This particular 7 ingredient smoothie is the perfect energy booster.
