Summer is always accompanied by vitamin D and fun in the sun. It also brings out the summer staples: summer dresses and essential statement pieces.

Oh, for the love of summer dresses.  Who else loves Spring and Summer? It’s that time of the year when the weather warms up and flowers decorate gardens with beautiful colors. The sun shines bright, and people start coming out of their houses from hibernation.

For some of you, spring has already begun, but many places in Europe are still experiencing overcast weather. Unfortunately for me, this means a couple more days of Parka weather and looking out the window in with disappointment in the rain.

My disappointment disappears when I go back to shopping online for cute spring and summer dresses. If I can’t have summer outside maybe, I can wear it.

FASHION IN EUROPE

One of the things I love about living in Europe, besides being able to travel virtually anywhere for a reasonable price, is the fashion.

The cutest little shops display their spring and summer collections. And it’s enough to get me excited about the sunshine arriving soon.  In the next few days, the tiny buds will finally open to the world, and every tree and bush will explode with new green leaves and branches.

In Germany and surrounding countries (that we’ve been to), flower boxes will adorn almost every window.  The tiny towns look like something out of a postcard or The Beauty and The Beast.

Being from Texas, I’d never seen the seasons change and transform a city the way I’ve been able to in Germany.  I’ve been able to experience the pure magic of each season.  And I must say, the transition from Winter to Spring is my personal favorite.

And with the changes of the season, the style in the streets changes quite a bit.  You begin to see people swapping parkas and scarves for dresses and sandals.

Every year, I look forward to putting together summer outfits.

TIMELESS PIECES

Putting together new outfits is one of my favorite pastimes. But I like being financially concious and intentional with my money so I buy timeless pieces that outlive the everchanging fashion trends.

In the past few weeks, I’ve been shopping online, and I found some pieces that tick every box in my timeless checklist.  Affordable. Timeless. Comfortable and cute.

DRESSES

Every single one of these dresses can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion.  Perfect to wear any day of the week.

SHOES

I love a good pair of walking shoes.  Especially now that we walk everywhere (even to go grocery shopping).   All of these shoes fit my requirements: comfortable, stylish, and bang for the buck.

BAGS

Bags are a must-have for this girl. (Shamelessly raises hand: I may have a small bag and shoe obsession.)  I’ve had my eye on these so very stylish bags for a while now. Great statement pieces.

EARRINGS

Accessories.  They are a requirement to complete any outfit.  A great pair of statement earrings may be all that’s needed sometimes.  Sometimes I stick to my pears earrings (which you can check out in the “shop my favorites” section at the top.)
