Eating healthy seems to be a daunting task most people would rather avoid. Right? I feel you. A burger sounds tastier than a salad. But vegetables will always be more packed with nutrients than a burger. This healthy homemade asparagus is so easy and pairs well with most meats, you will love it and never look back.
Asparagus equals vitamins. Lots and lots of vitamins. This little green machine is nutrient-packed with many antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, digestive support, sugar regulation, and endless benefits.
And calorie-wise, it doesn’t get any better, at just three calories per spear or forty calories for one cup. Talk about winning! You’re going to be a fan of asparagus after you try this recipe, so let’s get into the details, shall we?
INGREDIENTS
1 Asparagus bundle from a local grocery store.
2 TBSP of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 TSP of minced garlic
2 TBSP of grated parmesan cheese
1 TSP of salt (or to taste)
Juice of 1 lemon (or to taste)
Add a pinch of pepper (if Pepper is your thing, although not required.)
On a different note, have you considered ordering your groceries online? Technology has opened many doors. Nowadays you have options, like online food service companies that deliver healthy meals right to your door. It’s an incredible concept if you ask me.
Amazon can deliver groceries straight to your door.
Blue Apron delivers entire meals for the week. This company selects fresh vegetables from farmers to deliver to you. The best part is they have wine options to pair with your dinners. (Yep, sold!)
Also, most grocery stores have a pre-order online option and pick up. You can just drop by on your way home. The convenience is out of this world.

Most of my recipes are simple, easy, and versatile; meaning, they mix well with other dishes. I do this because it’s easier to meal plan, plus I don’t like wasting food.
