Music is so powerful. Workouts are just as powerful. Music and workouts help our bodies get healthy. The ultimate playlist to demolish any workout will help you do just that.
WHY A PLAYLIST IS IMPORTANT AT THE GYM
Music is a way to help with focus when you’re at work or to relax when you’ve had a bad day. We dance to it, cry to it, and make great memories with music. It expresses unspoken emotions (ask any psychologist).
Music a the gym will help
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I love the gym. I’ve survived many grueling workouts with one simple little thing, a playlist. No joke. Music puts me in the zone.
Music helps me focus on whatever specific workout I am doing at the moment and as crazy as this may sound, it helps me forget about how bad it hurts. A good playlist always motivates me and pushes me to go beyond my limits. Sometimes it even drives me to go beyond what I think my body is capable of achieving. And that’s when I get those PRs: Personal Records.
GYM ROUTINE
Personally, I’ve never been one to chat at the gym. For you, it may be different, and that’s ok. We’re all unique in our routines, and that’s what keeps us all interesting. But when I go to the gym, it’s my time. I still chat with people before my workout, but when it’s time to do work, only I exist in that world.
When I get to the gym, I have a pretty standard routine. Warm-up, stretch, then get to work. One thing starts before everything else, and that is my music. I open up iTunes, Pandora, or Spotify, and select a playlist.
Today, I am sharing my favorite playlist with you all because I know you’ll benefit from a little extra motivation. We all need a little extra something every now and then. Plus a few people have asked me for fitness tips and this is one I always give. Have a great playlist. It also helps to have a great group of workout friends to motivate you to show up. But let’s focus on the playlist for now.

MOTIVATION
We all have that one thing that motivates us at the gym or to get things done. For me, it’s music. When I am cleaning, you bet I am dancing Salsa with the broom. When I am cooking, I am chopping onions and veggies to Justin Timberlake in the background. When I am blogging, I listen to Bach and Beethoven or soul music. Music is indeed in my soul, and without it, life would be hard for me. Am I the only one that feels this way, or is it the same for you?
The playlist above is super simple but powerful enough to get you moving. I hope you like it and find yourself playing it consistently.
With all that said, what kind of music do you listen to at the gym? What songs are in your favorite playlist? And what is that one thing that motivates you? And I mean, truly motivates you?
